Drum Roll........

WE GOT OUT OF IBESR TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! Two days shy of an 8 month wait in just one office of Haiti, God delivered! I just returned home from Haiti two days ago with no assurance that we'd get out of that office anytime soon. I was happily buying groceries without kids in tow (they were both in class today) and was approaching the register when I noticed the out of country phone number. I rolled back the cart to a more quiet section of the grocery store and heard Pastor say "My sister, you can now say 'Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!'" He was giggling and just as excited as I was saying over and over again, "it such good time, God is so good, Hallelujah". I was speechless and my groceries were thawing. I called Billy immediately, rushed through the register line after dropping $220 into Harry E. Butt's pocket and started going through the long list of prayer warrior family/friends that I needed to call to share the great news. I wasn't able to call everyone. It just got too hectic once the girls got home. BUT OH THE JOY to tell the story over and over again.

The dream I shared in an earlier post where I had to go somewhere alone and God protected me - that sums up my trip to Haiti. And after that faith-walk, God showed his might and mercy to me today.

God is so good. Foote family ate ice cream in celebration. Tomorrow we make VICTORY BANNERS!

So what's next?... Our papers go to Parque. This should move quickly for us because we have no bio-children and Keemberlie has no bio-parents. After that Keemberlie's aunt will have to appear in court before a judge to sign some papers. There are other legal stops along the way on Haiti's side. On the US side, Keemberlie's orphan-status will be investigated as well as all her documents. At some point she will have to have a medical exam by an Embassy doctor. Pastor will be working towards getting our passport during all of this and eventually I will go to Haiti one more time for a Visa appointment and if that goes well, she'll come home. If I had to guess - we're looking at another 4-5 months....hopefully that's all.

Either way - we now have Haiti's approval to adopt our sweet K-girl, aka Sunny. And we are rejoicing in God's faithfulness in bringing this about at....JUST THE RIGHT TIME!

He heard our cries. He is mighty to save!
Thank you for all your prayers and encouragement,
Cindy

Post including pics from my recent trip soon to come.
